Barcelona president Joan Laporte is refusing to give up hope for the EUROPEAN SUPER LEAGUE and claims the project for a breakaway competition is very much “AlLIVE”.Back in April a proposal for 12-team league which included Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester united, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur was abandoned after 48hours when fans pressure led to nine Sides pulling out.Along side with the six premier league sides,AC Milan,Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid also withdrew and all nine have since rejoined the European Club Association (ECA). But Barcelona,Real Madrid and Juventus have not returned to the ECA and still hold hope of delivering the most attractive and competitive league in the World. The super league. The project is “ALIVE” Laporte told Onze TV. “UEFA cannot act against us.We will see what the court say”. “All the pressure put on the English Clubs is useless if the court accepts the project”. “If the super league goes ahead,it will be the most attractive and competitive league in the World and it will help financially”. Barcelona,Real Madrid and Juventus hope the European court of justice in Luxembourg will rule in their favour and permit the concept of super league not run by the UEFA.
